Gaylin assists individuals and organisations to positively disrupt their own futures. She believes that stretching minds and comfort zones with new and sometimes radical thinking, is essential for building the desirable careers and organisations of tomorrow. She founded and runs 33 Emeralds, based in South Africa, a niche consultancy with a team of associates who have a common commitment – to craft better work, with energising and rewarding workplaces.
Gaylin’s early training was in Clinical Psychology and Anthropology. She considers both to have provided an essential foundation for the work she does. She spent over 10 years in London, latterly managing programmes of research into sustainable performance and leadership for the CIPD, with case studies in the UK and Asia.
Gaylin was named one on the top 10 international HR influencers to follow on Twitter. She is regularly asked to speak at events on workplace related issues and has written for publications such as Management Today Magazine, People Dynamics Magazine and HR Futures.
She recently co-founded a new movement for better work called Sync The Future – badged as a network for entrepreneurial minds.
